Chesters Pharmacy is run by Alfa Chemists and has served Birmingham for five years. We are small enough to know our patients and able to provide the clinical services they need.
Built around the people who walk through the door
Chesters Pharmacy opened on Shard End Crescent because the area needed a pharmacy that did more than hand over bags. Taha Mohamedali took it on with a simple idea: run it the way you would want your own family looked after.
Five years on, that still shapes how we work. Consultations happen in a private room rather than across a counter. If we cannot help, we say so and point you to someone who can. When a prescription is delayed at the surgery, we chase it rather than telling you to phone them yourself.
We have grown the clinical side steadily, adding Pharmacy First, travel health, ear wax removal and weight management, but the pharmacy has stayed independent. That means decisions about your care get made here in Birmingham, not by a head office somewhere else.

Seifudin Mohamedali, Superintendent Pharmacist
Seifudin is the pharmacist legally responsible for how Chesters Pharmacy operates. That covers everything from dispensing accuracy and controlled drug handling to the clinical standards behind each service we offer.
In practice you will find him in the consultation room most days, seeing patients under Pharmacy First, running travel health appointments and reviewing medication for people managing several long term conditions at once.
